Located just across the river from our nation's capital, Emjade provides lots of space for our Cairns to run, play and hunt. We got our first cairn in 1999 and have not looked back.
CANCH Ardenhurst's Precious Gem “Jade” a multiple group placer, was the foundation bitch for our kennel. Now 12 years old and retired, Jade has 26 puppies to her credit, 5 of which are Canadian champions. At the age of 12 months, this little gem won Best of Breed at the CTCC-OER Cairn Specialty under Judge Peggy Biesel-MacIlwain. That same year, she earned the honor of being 9th Cairn in Canada. Now living with her best friend, Kelly, Jade visits regularly and has quite a few sleep-overs.

Emjade cairn terriers are “ la crème de la crème `. Born and raised in our home, they are even- tempered and loving dogs. Coming from champion parents, our puppies are bred to standard and are fine examples of what a Cairn should be. Our record in the show ring attests to our attention to conformation. Health and temperament are high on our lists of concerns and we stand by our dogs by offering good health guarantees. We place puppies and , on occasion, mature dogs in approved, loving and caring homes .
